Dr Colin Bailey spoke to the Friends on 30th
January about Peter Breughel the Elder. In a comprehensive and beautifully
illustrated lecture, he covered the artist’s life and work. We heard about the
times in which he lived and the political influences on his work but, above
all, we saw his magnificent pictures.
